WTC Core Columns

Here are a few photos of core columns from the WTC Towers. We are told by the US government that the fire fed by office contents and jet fuel melted the steel beams causing them to collapse and cause a pancake effect. Consider the mass of the beams, the sheer amount of dense matter, in a very rigid shape below the impact zone sitting undamaged. Look at the size of these beams. Look at the massive steel core structure that was literally leveled on 9/11.

Basic physics tells us an object in motion stays in motion unless acted on by an outside force. Doesn't the rigid stationary constitute an opposing force on the comparatively less massive collapsing section of building above? were talking about lots of mass being destroyed on 9/11.
